If monotone is reading a file 'mtn.py' out of the current working
directory and trying to execute it, then that is definitely a bug, but
it seems like a... really unlikely one.
Need more details to tell what's going on. Possibly you're on a
system that searches the current directory for executables, and
searches for executables with extra extensions appended? (E.g., I
think you can tell windows to treat foo.py files like foo.exe files,
i.e., both executable by running "foo".)
