[Monotone-devel] MacOSX terminal does not allow me to enter passphrase

Subject: [Monotone-devel] MacOSX terminal does not allow me to enter passphrase

User-agent: Gnus/5.1002 (Gnus v5.10.2) Emacs/22.0.50 (darwin)

Not sure what is wrong, but the following monotone command gives me
troubles:

   monotone cert 2c4 test-cert-1

It shows on the terminal

   monotone: expanded selector '2c4' -> 'i:2c4'
   monotone: expanding selection '2c4'
   monotone: expanded to '2c4681f8bef0783c5cb0e1be092fc93e58907dd4'
   *

With the cursor shown at the * location.
If I press enter I the screen looks like:

   monotone: expanded selector '2c4' -> 'i:2c4'
   monotone: expanding selection '2c4'
   monotone: expanded to '2c4681f8bef0783c5cb0e1be092fc93e58907dd4'

   enter passphrase for key ID address@hidden:
   monotone: empty passphrase not allowed
   enter passphrase for key ID address@hidden:
   monotone: empty passphrase not allowed
   enter passphrase for key ID address@hidden:
   monotone: empty passphrase not allowed
   monotone: misuse: no passphrase given
   nelly:~/src/em-a woudshoo$

So it seemed it was waiting for my passphrase.
So I tried again. Now after monotone stops I enter my
passphrase and press enter. What happens is that:

1 - The passphrase is echoed to the screen
2 - Exactly the same errors, complaining about an
    empty passphrase show up.

So I guess there is womething wrong with Terminal.app
on MacOSX. But I can't see anything strange.

And as usual, this is done with the precompiled
0.23 binary downloaded from venge.net with full version information:

     monotone 0.23 (base revision: e32d161b8d5cde9f0968998cc332f82f82c27006)
     Running on: Darwin 8.2.0 Darwin Kernel
             Version 8.2.0: Fri Jun 24 17:46:54 PDT 2005;
             root:xnu-792.2.4.obj~3/RELEASE_PPC Power Macintosh
