IIRC we are _not_ using _any_ sqlite3_bind_ functions since the
descriptor patch (in nwm.sqlite3) is unmerged to main. Not that I would
counsel to not doing it (understatement: "Please let us merge now if
possible at all"). I would do it if you give me permission. (Why?
Because I suspect some bug somewhere.)

IMHO the pain is this sqlite2 compatibility cruft we still carry around.
