yes, we could add a command like this. the only difficulty I see
is that it only affects the local database, not the global system
of databases you might be working with.

so we can either:

 - require you to go around telling everyone to do the erase
   too (or hope that you haven't sync'ed before erasing)
 - put a permanent marker in your database indicating you will
   never want to see the item again
 - put a permanent marker in your database which somehow
   annaihilates the item in other people's databases when it
   arrives there

I can't really decide on mechanisms for this, which is why I
haven't implemented anything. feel free to play around with
the idea further though. it'd be nice to have in place.
