Is there even any reason to be using adns at this point?  The original
motivation was to avoid a dynamic dependency on libc's resolver, but
we seem to have given up on that now, and adns is actively worse in
some ways (e.g., monotone currently disbelieves that there is any such
host as "localhost", because that name is defined in my /etc/hosts
rather than my DNS server).
