http://cronolog.org/ that is and 1.7.0-beta runs rockstable on production systems here for quite a while.

Also does a more "precise" rotation than e.g. logrotate, doesn't need apache to be restarted and easens
my logparsing a little.

Very nice! This led me to vlogger http://n0rp.chemlab.org/vlogger/ -- cronolog for virtual domains -- which is exactly what I've always wanted, but didn't ever know existed.

thank you for the pointer,
Charles
