I would like to discuss an idea of creating a -devel package from MXE target. So far MXE is doing a great job for creating binaries for windows. But sometimes, there are developers who want to stay windows for all development. The opposite side of this covered well by MXE.
My idea is to have a target -devel for every package added
for example, opencv-devel
this will list a set of files (regex to files) that will be copied from PREFIX/TARGET/include, lib, bin and create an archive called opencv-mingw-w64-i686-shared.zip
This archive could be used in windows and start off development of an application based on the library right away
In this case, after extracting opencv-devel.zip, I can start developing an application using opencv on windows.
Any thoughts?
