Here's a snapshot of my mxe/pkg directory:
-rw-r--r-- 1 enoch enoch 21455321 Nov 13 2012 binutils-2.23.1.tar.bz2
-rw-r--r-- 1 enoch enoch 21440347 Mar 30 2013 binutils-2.23.2.tar.bz2
-rw-r--r-- 1 enoch enoch 22716802 Dec 4 20:51 binutils-2.24.tar.bz2
binutils-2.23* very likely can safely be removed.

Some script is required that obtains the latest MXE required tarball
names {a}, the stored tarballs on mxe/pkg {b), and then remove {b}-{a}.
We shall need the help of MXE Makefile Gurus to create the set {a} :-)
Thanks, Enoch.
