William and group,

To make things a bit more challenging, my computer died totally friday morning. I'm only now again 'operational' but on a different pc/platform (Debian 64 bits). Once I'm so far to recheck this, I let you know, but chances are that I can't reproduce exactly anymore. Let you know.

could you send your log/glib file to the list? (use "pastebin" website in order to make a link)
Also, it might be helpful to go to the development branch.

This problem stays , also with upgraded autoconf (2.69) automake (1.11.3) and m4 (1.4.16)
Be it apparently with a slightly different error message and location.
Any clues as how to attack this ?

Thanks.

Yes I did check and fullfill the requirements.
(if I'm not mistaken , there's checked upon anyway)

But I have some vague idea that the requirements should be "upgraded" ... I'm rebuilding now with the latest autoconf (and automake and m4).

Let you know.

Jos

Hello,
I am not big expert, but I can try to answer first, waiting for better answers.

by reading the end of your log, it shows that it failed because of "autoreconf". It is likely that "glib" is the firt package from the list that needed autoreconf, which would mean that autoreconf does not work for you. Have you checked "http://mxe.cc/#requirements";, and installed all specified tools (in particular autoconf) ? Please take time to double check "http://mxe.cc/#tutorial";. In step one, you can download the developement branch instead of the stable branch.

Regards,
William
