Hey,
I have to admit that this is purely a matter of convenience for me. I
usually run everything from Emacs, and I have a key binding for
running (compile "make"). So yes, I can make that work with a shell
script and some directory-local variables as well. No need for anyone
else to spend time on it :)

Ah, I was looking at my old repository that I'm still using with gcc
4.6.x due to serious issues with gcc 4.7.0, wxWidgets and
-stdcxx=c++11 that I've posted about in the past, and that old repo
was still naming kent.dl.sf.net (or something similar).
