It would be very helpful to have ability to fix rectangle size in the web
interface to achieve fixed scales like 1:10000 because it would make map
usable with compasses with rulers (like Silva Ranger, etc) for measuring
distances in more convenient way.

Of course, you could convert milimeters of compass ruler to the distance on
the map with scale 1:13542 or whatever, but that's not convenient. Some
compasses has specialized rulers for different standard scales to measure
distances faster.
