Hi Jonathan - I help moderate the gnu.org mailing lists, but know
nothing about the gnu.* Usenet relays. I admit I wasn't sure if they
were actually working nowadays.

As for money, I don't know if the FSF would like to make a contribution.
If so, probably a one-time chunk would be more feasible than $1/month.

The FSF sysadmins are on this list (address@hidden), so they can
consider it and chime in. If you don't hear back, I suggest writing to
address@hidden in a few days, which will reach a different set of
people at the FSF.

Sorry, I'm not in a position to make a contribution personally.
