still working on the wikipedia reload problem.

as per Russell Bell, the problem was corrected with

2.8.9dev.15

i've downloaded the source ./configure make make install produces a working

Lynx Version 2.8.9dev.15 (11 May 2017)
libwww-FM 2.14, ncurses 6.0.20160213
Built on linux-gnu (Apr 25 2018 11:33:53).

however, it indicates: "This client does not contain support for HTTPS URLs"

any suggestions?

which openssl reports : /usr/bin/openssl
find ssl.h reports : /usr/include/openssl/ssl.h

config.log
reports the following fatal errors:

maybe some C-wizard could pull me off to the side and explain how this should 
be corrected???

my work is intensive wikipedia, and would really like to have a good Lynx setup.

any help would be sincerely appreciated.
