It fails on Citrus iconv. ISTR I already reported that here, which
led to the inclusion of the change that the non-TRANSLIT version is
tried if the TRANSLIT version fails.

Sometimes they [people] care too much: pretty printers [and syntax highligh-
ting, d.A.] mechanically produce pretty output that accentuates irrelevant
detail in the program, which is as sensible as putting all the prepositions
