I believe there is an HTTP response (Status 100???) which allows one to
say "please wait". If that's right and Lynx supports it, a better
approach would be to have the application periodically send that response.

Emails are not formal business letters, whatever businesses may want.
RFC1855 says there should be an address here, but, in a world of spam,
that is no longer good advice, as archive address hiding may not work.
