Hello,

the solution for my user account is to use the option " -force_html".
However neither root nor another test user account needs that option - it seems
to has somethig to do with my (mime ?) settings.

OTOH what's about the way lynx recognized the input format - might be it could
be improved for the (special) case I run into it?

</HEAD>
<body>
    <br>
    Hello body !
</body>
</HTML>
address@hidden /mnt/D $ cat test.html | lynx -stdin -dump
<HTML>

<HEAD>
<TITLE>Hello Title !</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<body>
    <br>
    Hello body !
</body>
</HTML>
address@hidden /mnt/D $ cat test.html | lynx -stdin -dump -force_html
