This basically means you don't know who you are talking to, so you
should not send anything that you wouldn't want to be public knowledge,
or accept anything that you wouldn't accept from an anonymous source.

I don't know if this is a real security error or a problem with
Lynx.

I imagine he means that yahoo is not written according to good HTML
accessibility principles and is unlikely to work on anything except
a mainstream GUI browser, with various dangerous features in their out
of the box state.
