All three of these can be done, albeit rather clumsily, if the user
makes the decision to accept or reject (i.e., go back) each rendered
object.  It can be a bit tedious and "jerky", but it does work to
some extent.  The "feel" is similar to Lynx's handling of FRAMEs.
