That's a pretty old version of lynx.
If you can, compiling your own is recommended.


You don't have enough free space in /tmp (or whatever directory
lynx is set up to use) for holding temporary copies of
the uncompressed files.

Or there is no working uncompress binary on the system.  Or it's
there but not in the place where lynx expects it (the path is
probably hardwired in the lynx binary).

Are those really .Z not .gz files?
If yes, and you have a working gzip (but not uncompress) for
uncompressing, you might be able to trick lynx into using your
gzip command.  (probably only by renaming .Z -> .gz)
