I see occasional ads on comp.terminals, some point to websites (I haven't
looked closely at those for a while - no URLs handy).

as cheap as $30 I gather, but perhaps more like $150 for something nice.

the former. A wyse50 has the magic-cookie feature which makes it awkward
to render video attributes. (Some curses implementations simply refrain
from rendering bold, etc., ncurses has some - ahem - experiment code for
that purpose).
