That's what I meant. You couldn't see everything (except by doing a
'P'rint), but you could "find" everything: at least go to the right
line that has the target string, even if the target string is not
(or is not completely) in the displayed part of the line.

It's a trade off, I don't see how changing some details of
implementation would change that.
If folks want a search function that covers more than one line, someone
should write it. (or avoid having lines split, as in "old lynx behavior"
with the resulting effects.)
