Lynx supports frames, but in a different way than other (in other words,
GUI) browsers do it.

In Lynx, you only see the content of one frame at a time. When there
is a page with multiple frames on it, you see a list of the different
frames, and then you can choose the link for each specific frame and
"enter" it just like you would choose any other link.

This *sounds* very complicated, and it is more complex than seeing all of
the frames at once, but in actual everyday use, it is not that big of a
deal, since most of the time there are "header" and "footer" frames that
sites use, that don't contain very much useful information.

Usually the "content" frame has all of the (in my opinion) important stuff
in it, so it is in effect only one more step than using frames with other
browsers.

Well, Netscape and Internet Explorer support frames, as does my favorite
browser besides Lynx -- iCab.. www.icab.de It's a Mac-only browser, and
I have no connection to them except as a user. I'm only mentioning it because
it's a GUI browser that's *almost* as fast a Lynx. (And far far faster than
IE or Netscape running on the same hardware.)
