I don't think that will be a problem for me, as the cookie
setting is occurring during a previous session in my case.

Well, if the cookie stuff above works in the latest
version, hopefully I'll never have a need to jam custom junk
into the header-- it just occurred to me that would be one
way to work around the problem, and that it might be useful
elsewhere. I have hacked junkbuster to do other stuff (a
snarf-like program before I discovered snarf or that lynx
had -source), so I could probably do something there but
again that was a program that had problems with hanging
periodically on a GET.

snarf can't handle a lot of redirects-- it handles some, but
reports some kind of "looping redirect" error with a lot of
others, ones that Lynx has no problems with. And I've
seen snarf hang in effect forever, on certain basic
gets. I haven't seen Lynx do that yet, though can't say
that it isn't possible..
All in all, I think Lynx is a great program and even when
I'm not doing automated web stuff, it is my first browser
choice for all but the most media intense stuff which
I rarely do anyway. All of you guys hard work is
well appreciated here.
