One caveat: If your GZEXE changes places, you're in for a little work.
the absolute path to GZEXE is in the resultant file.  Editing with a
text editor that doesn't choke on binaries, you can edit the header to
point to the correct location of GZEXE.  I had to do that when on one
system, the shmuck admin decided to rearrange everything according to
his organization idea.  Things broke for months after that.  Idiot.
 
Also, if you are moving the binary to another place, if the gzexe is
not located in the same place, same problem.  (The admin had all the
compilers set to -rwx------ *growl* so I had to compile on one machine
that was gcc-accessible, and ftp it over to the system I wanted to use
it on...that had GZEXE in a different location.  A little edit and I 
was back in biz.
