LYNX-DEV search for anchor text fails in ac-0.45

I was searching for hard drives using altavista, and found a page that
had text Lynx wouldn't search.  Turns out the search string "34000" was
in an anchor.  The page I found with AV was www.wvccs.com/product.htm.
Is this a bug?
