LYNX-DEV saving and reusing form input

My friend who has been trying out the formpatch-lynx asked the
following question, which I thought I'd run by the list:

It seems he frequently uses a web page with a long query form.
He always fills in / selects the same values for most of the input fields.
What he would like to do is save and reuse this input to initialize the form.

I told him (correct me if I'm wrong) that initializing a form could only
be done in the html by setting default values. He could download the html
and edit it, then use that page instead of the original url.
He doesn't know much html.

Is there an easier way?
Just a thought.
