I am not sure what it means and/or how to 'z'ap it ... Please explain.

It was done on a fresh directory. That is, I moved the lynx2-6FM to
lynx2-6FM.old and unzipped the new archive.
Unless I am mistaken, the only file that references NSL_FORK is HTTCP.c
and so maybe all that was needed was to remove HTTCP.o and recompile.
