Actually, the output shown below contained properly accented French
characters in the ISO8859-1 charset. My guess is that either your
connection to your terminal isn't 8-bit clean (try stty 8bit if you're
running a UNIX variant) or you aren't telling Lynx to use the right
output character set (perhaps you're using a PC as a terminal?) in which
case you should check the (O)ptions menu.
