Hi Kieran, thank you for your statement and the open words. And please be sure that i highly appreciate all that work which is put into this project by you and all the other devs.
I think i will face the problems again when i find some time here ... which i also see in my private part here. However, if anybody in the community did the update from 1.3.x to 1.4.0 in a FreeRTOS environment and wants to share his steps, i would love it.
Actually i don't want to bother the community with stupid questions to more than 200 compiler errors after upgrading in that stage, when everybody is busy getting 1.4.0 in release state. Any hints to what i've written are appreciated if someone wants to put some minutes here (maybe i've forgotten or overseen a new include somewhere). So, basically i have hope that a demo project with FreeRTOS is published somewhere ...
Thanks again, Marco
I wouldn't want lwIP to become like that either. However lwIP has always and will always require a relatively high level of skill and understanding to use - it's not something you can just download and go as you must first port it to your hardware and OS (unless someone else has already done this for you). I'm sorry this upgrade is causing you problems, and I happy to help if possible to get you going again, although as with all the developers the time I can spend on lwIP is rather limited. Kieran
