Are there known pbuf leak bugs that have been repaired that we should apply to our build? Are there particular areas in the stack we should examine for the potential leaks?
Any pointers would be appreciated.

I assume the leak is in pool pbufs, used for reception, rather than any other sort?

I think it would be a good idea to enable LWIP_STATS and see if there are any other memory resources that start running out at the time of the leak. That may explain where the pbufs are ending up.
