We wrote an agent on top of lwip previously,
but I can tell you this is a big task.
It takes about the same effort as implementing TCP.

I can't recommend porting existing code since
there is none available that suits the 'light weight'
principle. NET-SNMP has a footprint of at least 150kb,
and requires an OS / file-system.

Maybe you can join us with test activities.
It will take a few weeks before we start committing,
