Reverting to the original code as shown in your post below works.
However I ended up changing the MACRO in the .h file to
#define TCP_SEQ_BETWEEN(a,b,c) (TCP_SEQ_GEQ(a,b) && TCP_SEQ_LEQ(a,c))
which also works. So the choice is yours.
