Wow, 200kb is very large! I can definately understand your frustration.
I haven't personally used the 8051 or any C compilers for it, but from what
has been written on this list, the 8051 doesn't seem to be particularly well
suited for C programming. On the other hand, others have commented on this
and said that 50k should be enough.
One way of solving your problem would be to use uIP instead. It is much
smaller (at the expense of functionality and throughput) and numerous people
have been running it on the 8051. Some of them should be reading this list,
by the way.
