To make things clear; the only thing i wanted was to rename the source files
that are longer than 8.3, this because at least one person in the universe are
still using tools that imply this restriction. The matter that I run in a win2k
command window does unfortunally not change this tools behaivor.
But if I am the only one with this problem lets drop the subject.
I'm glad that you agree on the division regarding sioslipif though, it will
make it easier to submit the pppif eventually - which we again are developing,
cleaning up the worst hacks ;)
