Try downloading "libpcap" for packet capture at
http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/ and the "Universal tun/tap driver" at
http://vtun.sourceforge.net/tun/
Thats what was missing for me. (Using RedHat 7.1) although it sounds like
you'll only need the tun/tap driver for your distro of Mandrake.
