Tim would like to send a message to the lwip mailing list but his email
server puts a antivirus disclaimer at the end of the message and the lwip
mail server rejects the post. So I send this message to the list.

Hi,

We are trying to get the lwip stack running on an ARM7 with the ADS1.2
compiler tools. We have successfully made working the lwip stack on our
target OS in an windows environment and we can connect two lwip stacks and
transfer http data no problem. However we try and run the software on our
ARM system and connect to another lwip stack running on Windows2000 and do
the same http transaction the lwip stack on the ARM reports back,

"tcp_input: packet discarded due to failing checksum"

Does anyone have an idea where this problem might come from?

I have the memory alignment set at 4, and I'm using packed structures for
all the structures packed by default. has anyone encountered similar
problems for compiling for an ARM architecture?
