Follow-up Comment #27, patch #8680 (project lwip):

By now I guess the additional functions to netif.c might not be generic enough
to justify adding them.

Adding and removing (without specific prefix length) would be covered by the
standard netif callbacks, so the routing algorithm files for contrib + a short
description of how to use them (hooks, callbacks) should be good.
