Follow-up Comment #11, patch #8755 (project lwip):

Ok, then we could add functionality to add more than one netif change handler.
I would just like to keep the "core" folder small enough by holding only the
base protocols. Even for traditional DNS you could argue if it's placed
correctly in "core", since  it's only a UDP application after all...
