Follow-up Comment #28, task #6861 (project lwip):

After waiting for some time now, I ported Thomas' patch to the newest CVS
HEAD and checked it in with some changes:

- Combined chain & validate
- Changed the doubly linked list into a single linked list

Also changed the SNMP code for the maximum reassembly size and added the
necessary options (removing the old IP_REASS_BUFSIZE option).

Thomas, please don't hit me for checking in although it's assigned to you, I
simply couldn't wait to move on here after making the first patch!

Any comments are welcome!!!

BTW: why is this planned for 1.3.0 and at the same time marked as priority:
'later'??
