Hi David,
I dont think you can use the port as is for GigE. You will need write
an adaptation layer and use the right driver calls. The appnote is
about how to use lwIP with Xilinx Embedded Development Kit. It has a
reference design for both Xilinx processors (PPC405 and MicroBlaze).
