You mean when viewing with Ghostscript or Ghostview, right?

I have this:

  # Font definition for `LinLibertine_It'
  { @FontDef
      @Tag     { "Linux-Libertine-Slope" }
      @Family  { "Linux-Libertine" }
      @Face    { "Slope" }
      @Name    { "LinLibertineI" }
      @Metrics {
"/usr/share/fonts/type1/linux-libertine/LinLibertine_It-2.5.7RO.afm" }
      @Mapping { "LtLatin1.LCM" }
  }

But the corresponding .pfb/.pfa must be visible to Ghostscript if you
want to be able to display it.

Ludo’.
