I haven't checked in detail but this has all the marks of the bug documented in a footnote in Section 2.8 of the User's Guide. Try enclosing "et" in double quotes.
Regarding this bug I tried to render the following reference: { @Reference @Tag{ ref1 } @Label{ ref1 et al. 2098 } @Type{ Book } @Title{ a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z} } However, the title is being rendered as: "a c d e g j k l n o q yes u v x y z"so some of the characters (b, f, h, i, m, p, r, s, t, w) are not being rendered at all. One of those is being transformed into a "yes". As shown previously, this problem also prevails for words with two-characters (or more). Since an explicit binding of those characters is not obvious, is'nt it possible to fix the bug you mentioned in order to improve louts reliability?
