I don't understand what all the drama about porting, and scarcity of
resources, etc is about.

My old win32 patches from 2000.

It's really just some 60 lines that add convenient ability to deduce
LOUTLIB from the path to the executable, so that you can unpack it
anywhere and it just works.  No changes are required for the lout code
itself.  No installer is necessary.

The only thing a champion needs to do is to brush up this patches
once and then compile new win32 binaries when new release is out.
