Section headers cut off from their bodies

Hi,

I'm using Lout to typeset my course notes, and find all is well except 
that some section headings are left behind alone on the bottom of a 
page. I'm using a two-column layout (and want to stick to it since this 
makes it easier to accommodate a lot of figures). Has anyone seen this 
and found a solution?
