I eliminated preformatted documentation from the lout distribution. It
saves ~700K -- considerable relief when downloading over the slow
line. If someone really needs preformatted docs (which means that lout
doesn't work for him ;-) one can get them from `doc' subdirectory.

doc/refcard.ps.gz is a reference card for v3.02 contributed by Jean
Mehat <address@hidden>. I ftp'ed it from his site after he had
annouced his work, but when I checked for any updates I found it had
disappeared. Jean, if you're reading this and you have any updates for
this refcard, please, let me know.

BTW, lout community still needs a FAQ maintainer.
