I’m not sure what to report here.  This is a new installation of RHEL4 on an IBM x342 server with 3 18.2GB Ultra160 SCSI drives.  Drive 0 contains \boot \ and swap.  I am creating partitions on the other drives to play with (learn about) software RAID and LVM.

The following message is returned when running partprobe:

“A bug has been detected in GNU parted.  Please email a bug report to address@hidden containing the version (1.6.19) and the following message:Assertion (cyl_size <= 255 * 63) at disk_dos.c:556 in function probe_partition_for_geom() failed.”
