That's how it works with asterisk anyway.I agree with you in your observation regarding Asterisk - I use it myself -, but in my case both ends are Linphones (version 3.4.3) talking directly to each other bypassing Asterisk - vi use IPv6 - so Linphone must in some way be involved.
