Thank you, Karel, for your contribution.

The '50 Hz problem' is actually a old problem we have detected long time ago. We didn't care it because we never got a strong interfering signal from the AC power line. However, we understand that it can generate fluctuations on the frequency and note estimation, turning the tuning impossible.

Maybe a notch filter, that kills the 50 Hz frequency, can be a good solution. We will study it.

Best regards,
Jairo.

Hi,

I've just made the Czech translation for LINGOT, see the attached files (there
is small code change and translation of the .desktop file, hence the
cvsdiff).

I also have a small problem with LINGOT - it somehow catches the 50 Hz AC
power frequency, and it is unable to analyze the correct tones although they
are a lot louder than the noise (in fact, the noise is not audible through
the speakers, and I am pretty sure that they are able to reproduce 50 Hz
loud). Setting the noise threshold value to about 35 dB helps this, however I
do not see this a good solution - it seems much better to me to set
MIN_FREQUENCY. (Setting 51 Hz kills the problem 100%.)

Now, what I find very inconvenient is that this option is missing from the
settings, it is present just within the configuration file. (Another such one
is AUDIO_DEV.) I came upon this just by browsing the sources for things to
translate (yeah, I'll do README.CS sometimes ... in the far, far future ...)
I'd bet that vaste majority of users would not find that there is such
option, so please, could you add to the settings dialogue everything that can
be configured?

Regards,
K.V.
