Thanks for the link, I had missed that!

I asked the question because xml2ly currently generates the following for that 
example:

Part_POne_Staff_One_Voice_One = \relative {
  \language "nederlands"
  \repeat volta 5 {
    <>^"5 times  %%%%% HERE
    \key c \major
    \time 4/4
    \clef "treble"
    c'1 |
  
  }
  
  d1 
  \bar "|." 
  | % 2
}

Should I make that an option, and if so, should '<>^"5 times’ be generated by 
default, or the reverse?
