Hi Mark and Aaron,
thanks for your suggestions. I'll go with Aaron's because a) it
does'n't rely on changing an unrelated element (the stem
direction) and forces me to deviate from the source and b) because
it seems to surgically remove the layout constraint that caused
the issue.

A client requests me to shorten the slurs so not to cross the
